The Translanguaging Teacher
EXPLORING TRANSLANGUAGING CONCEPTS
Who Is The Translanguaging Teacher?
My name is Nina Radcliffe and I have been teaching since 2003. I started my career in the East End of London but soon moved into international teaching in 2005. I have been fortunate enough to work in schools in Spain, Thailand, Japan and the Czech Republic. I am a passionate homeroom teacher who believes that language is everything. Whether it is the spoken or 'named' languages they speak at home and school or the hundreds of other languages they express themselves in daily. All are worthy and can be translated into any other linguistic form.

My Mission
The Translanguaging Teacher is a platform dedicated to exploring and understanding translanguaging in its broadest sense. I delve into the intricate relationships between children's spoken languages and the diverse ways in which they express themselves daily. My mission is to provide insights, resources, and practical strategies for embracing multilingualism and fostering inclusive language practices. I offer professional development for schools wanting to explore early language acquisition, how to support and harness the strengths of multilingual learners and education in the early years setting.
